Description
I sourced discarded copper piping and electrical wire as main materials for this piece as there is something very satisfying about turning waste into something beautiful. Even the chain has been recycled from old jewellery.
I used wire wrapping techniques and several different metal ageing processes to get the finish you see.
This item has gone through many changes to end up in its finished state as it was not planned from the beginning.
I found as i worked the metal and added things to it elements of the design slowly came together until i finally reached a point where it was time to stop!
The main pendant measures approximately 45mm X 45mm X 8mm and weighs just under 28grams (1oz). The accompanying chain measures 420mm.
